:) Thanks for the tips and the tute. Beach sand is free too unlike buying those synthetic grit powders. Might be able to get some pebbles from an aquarium place. Hmmm starting to think laterally. *brain hurting* hehehe. Perhaps using the tumbler for buffing could work too. Denim bits. Have any of you got any nice piccies which show off your finishing well? Piccies that pick it up as life like as possible? I have hand sanded and buffed a couple of pieces and I love the silky touch of polymer. It is so much more rewarding than glossing. My last pieces are now jewellry that my fiance wears and she cant stop rubbing them. I keep expecting some genie to pop out of her earrings. I think I'm slowly getting up the courage to give my tumbler a go with my clay. Scott.

Lots of folks will use felt or old denim in their tumblers for buffing. It won't give you a high gloss like sheen but it will add a wee bit of a pop to it all. If you want to see what the "Mistress of tumbler sanding buffing" has to say check out Desiree's Tool tricks here. http://desiredcreations.com/howTo_Desk2.htm

Beautiful, KathiG. I love them. I started making one but have put it aside and havent come back to it yet. But will someday. Don't have that extuder so cut some PVC pipe for a mold. It's coming out like a purple reptile so far. Made some mistakes but I reckon that it's part of the learning process. xxHector

Dani, I think I will be making a few more and listing them in my etsy shop. scott, I can't wait to see how yours turn out. and btw...there are never mistakes, only happy accidents.

I am glad too Christelle! It is my beloved MacBook Pro and I do everything on it! I had to work on my windoze machine while it was gone. Now that was hard *g*
