What was I thinking??????
This is what i made with one of my 'Kathi skinner blends'. It's a bit "out there"...way outta my comfort zone. Soooo...welcoming any feeback here. Also my first foray into the fibre look. My darling OH informs me it looks like viking horns... :shock: yeh...thanks darl...men are so helpful :roll: Sorry about the blurry pic

I dunno what you were thinking but that blend in tube beads is gobsmacking to die for. I think it looks great and there is someone out there that will love it.

Julz, you crack me up! I find it's actually best to think as little as possible and let the muse take over...like she has here... It's a wild piece and that blend together with the swirlie looks fabulous...and probably I'd hang it so that the polymer clay 'horns' (sorry, blame your DH) followed the curve around the neck a bit more (not sure if it's big enough, hard to tell) ...maybe shortening those gorgeous fibres will do the trick...either way, I like it...

Love the blend Julez.... I just do not like the fuzzy stuff. I think Mel's right..... it would look better if it's a bit shorter.

they do look like horns, that's what makes them so pretty!!! very nice! I am not a fan of the bead in the middle, but I love the horns, but that's just me!! Beautiful!!! I just love the blend of colours in the skinner blend.

Really like it but I agree with what others have said, shorter and take away the fluffy yarn as in this case doesn't add anything to the overall look, your eye is drawn away from the main part of the necklace to the fluffy yarn, the PC part should be the main focus and the yarn or whatever should be background.

I think this is such a striking piece Julz. The blend is beautiful and really 'glows' (don't you love those pearl clays) :) I agree with the shortening bit, the pc and the fibre are fighting a bit for attention. I think the pc should win as it so beautiful! debsx can't wait to see the new pic.
