Post Mels back...well...kinda
Sorry to have left you all for a while there. I have been moving house and finally found a place...another piece of paradise in Possum Creek, about 15 minutes from Byron Bay...with a separate little studio to work in. I still need to outfit it with benches and whatnot but I'm hoping to get stuck into all that after this weekend workshop. I'm teaching in Sydney this time, looking forward to seeing Carl and Janet and had dinner with the lovely Esme last night who is also coming to the workshop. Looks like fun ahead!

One problem tho...ADSL isn't available and neither is wireless broadband...so I'm now having to wait to get the form to apply for a satelite that the govt pay for as they guarantee broadband to all aussies ....which is great but it also means it might take a few weeks! So I won't be very active till all that's in place except for the occasional drop by to an internet cafe to pick up my emails. Don't miss me too much! More news as it happens...

We will miss you !!!!!!!! How about access via the mobile phone? If you have a landline ADSL must be available - it travels down the phone line or is that not avail either. Have you moved that deep into the hilly bush?
I hope the government keeps their deal.
It sucks having to move, but I guess having one's very own patch is liberating too. Hope you get to make it cosy and homely and let your generous and joyful spirit inhabit the new place.
All the best with it.

It seems like we have all been away for awhile doesn't it. I have been so busy with hubby's business that mine has taken a bit of a back seat. Have also just joined the board of our local Community Gallery (all volunteer stuff) and that has taken up soooooo much of my time it's not funny. Hopefully things will all settle down soon and I'll be able to get to do a bit of MY stuff.

Mel it sounds like things are going great for you. Just the name Possum Creek conjurs up all sorts of thought from me. It sounds like an amazing place to live and I think the fact that you have a studio is just cherry on the top. Can't wait to see what you;ve been up to.

And so Kathi ...........................what's your excuse - I miss seeing all your wonderful creations. A thing a day in Feb seems such a long long time ago......

So unreal to see you all back.

Sabine sweetheart, thanks for your lovely response! I've moved to a very hilly forest area, no ADSL available and no mobile service either so I'm now waiting for satelite approval so that I can stay connected to everyone. Right now I'm at Janets place in Sydney using her broadband and will rely on internet cafes closer to home when I arrive back.

Kathi...how gorgeous to have you back...now, where's your note??? <taps foot> LOL!

Debbie, you mean you have a life outside of claying? Sounds like things are huge for you over there right now. Nice to hear you getting so involved with community art...hopefully you'll have more time to clay soon eh! And yes, our place in Possum Creek is every bit as gorgeous as the name suggests...we not only have THE Possum Creek running through the property, we have a resident possum...a brown one, not the grey I'm used to from WA. There are also koalas and bush turkeys and snakes and creatures too numerous to mention. Did I mention the salt water pool...? Heaven on a stick. Now I need a 'real job' to pay for it all!

Wow Mel-sounds amazing. You're sure to have lots of inspiration there too.
Hope you get "connected" soon

I also have had not too much time to clay, apart from making pc footballs for the school fete!

Cheers
Zarina
